Roles and Responsibilities

  • Communication: Engage with donors through various channels such as emails, newsletters, and personal notes to update them on organizational activities and achievements.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update donor records in the organization’s database, ensuring that all interactions, donations, and correspondence are accurately recorded.
  • Event Planning: Organize and execute donor-related events, including appreciation events, informational sessions, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Reporting: Track and analyze donor interactions and contributions to provide reports to senior management, guiding future fundraising strategies.
  • Acknowledgments: Send timely and appropriate acknowledgments for donations, both monetary and in-kind.
  • Coordinate with Teams: Work closely with the fundraising team, marketing team, and other departments to align donor relations activities with larger organizational goals.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget for donor relations activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure that donor acknowledgments and any public recognition adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Donor Surveys and Feedback: Periodically collect feedback from donors to measure satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Grant Management: Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications and reports, if applicable to the organization’s funding model.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

Experience

  • Experience with donor databases or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus.
